HEALTHY CHILD HEALTHY WORKFORCE ACCREDITATION
The governors and leadership at Westfield consider the well-being of pupils, staff and visitors to the site as extremely important.
On Wednesday 5th March 2025 we had external visitors from Central Bedfordshire Council visited for the morning to see what we do.
They conducted a walk of the site seeing for themselves how we support through the environment and strategies. They then looked at our evidence file which was organised to reflect the work completed for each of the standards:-
Standard 1 - Leadership and Management
Standard 2 - Policy, development and vision for promoting and protecting the emotional and physical health of children and staff
Standard 3 - Culture, ethos, and Environment
Standard 4 - Learning, teaching, curriculum, planning and resourcing
Standard 5 - Continuing Professional Development Needs
Standard 6 - Ensuring the physical health, wellbeing and behaviour for children and young people is supported and responded to appropriately
Standard 7 - Ensuring the wellbeing, mental health and motivation of staff is supported and actively promoted
Standard 8 - Partnerships with Parents / Carers and Support services
Following all they saw we were given the 'Healthy Child Healthy Workforce Accreditation!
We have a trophy and certificate for all to see in the entrance hall.

'Congratulations to the management and staff at Westfield. The particular stand out areas for me on this visit were the individualised support and resources to support children and the My Time programme – however there is so much good practice to support you gaining this award. It was an absolute pleasure to be at the setting for the morning and there are a lot of great things in place to show that they deserve gaining the recognition of the Healthy Child-Healthy Award.'
