WESTFIELD NURSERY SCHOOL DUNSTABLE
Our school has been open since the 1970’s. We provide excellent care and education for 2 -4-year-old children living in Dunstable and the surrounding area.
We have the benefit of being purposely built and resourced for young children, so they have the very best start on their educational journey without the ‘top down’ pressures which may occur within a Primary School setting.
We all hope that children will have a wonderful experience at Nursery and make the most of the opportunities that we provide. Working closely with parents and carers our aim is to develop a life- long love for learning.
We hope you enjoy looking at our website. Please do come and see for yourself how great our school is. Just ring, email or use our contact form to make an appointment and contact Mrs Hitchcock, our School Business Manager, if you have any queries.
Before your child starts we will meet with families to go through our 'All About Me' information to start to get to know each child. We find out lots of information about each child so that we can settle them quickly and best look after them.
Children are assigned to a specific class, and during visits you will be introduced to the lead practitioner who is the key worker as well as the class team. (All adults are referred to as teachers whether they are qualified teachers, nursery nurses or teaching assistants).
Our aim is to give children the best care and education possible in our nursery setting. Our staff are very highly qualified and they focus on the children having fun and learning while they are playing.
We currently have five classes which have a main classroom, some with smaller story rooms and are all linked to our wonderfully spacious gardens, which boast grass and soft surfaces and are well equipped with a range of equipment and toys.
We have our own Nursery Curriculum which adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). If you would like more information click on the curriculum tab.
We do not have a catchment area and take children from Dunstable, Luton and surrounding villages, to find out more about our admission arrangements, please see the admissions policy.
If you have any queries you can contact the school and ask to speak to Mrs Collins, Head teacher of Mrs Hitchcock, School Business Manager.
